Valdarite (culture)

A culture of Lehenyar humans that originated in the city of Valdarine on the plane of Endaraen. Although originally an offshoot of the Jyrantaal states of Yaraen and Jyrankal, the early Valdarites adopted many aspects of Anlaraes and Oraean culture and have traditionally been known as a dynamic, ambitious and often warlike people.

With the fall of the Valdarine state after the Rock Blight, the principle example of true Valdarite culture is now the Golden City of Ildarine. Though most of those who still eek out a living in the unforgiving Shard Lands are also of Valdarite descent.

The principal language of Valdarite culture is known simply as Valdarite, although Yaraen Common sees frequent use amongst the less educated or when dealing with outsiders.
