"Then all she knew was the greatest hate of all, for every spark of joy she ever had known had gone into the dark, and she vowed that she would never again let suffering assault her, for she would be suffering."

The Goddess of Darkness, Chaos, Confusion and Betrayal. Twin sister of Solandria, Sulansis was originally an Amma.

She and her sister were once close but Sulansis grew jealous when Solandria met, and later married, a handsome Amma man. At the wedding Sulansis poisoned her sister's husband so that they would fight over him no longer, but Solandria, understandably, swore never to speak with her sister again.

To try and renew the deep friendship that they had once had, Sulansis summoned Vellamni, the Goddess of Passion and Love to heal the breach. Instead when Vellamni appeared she immediatley realised that her beloved son, Solandria's husband, was dead and that Sulansis was responsible. Vellamni burnt out Sulansis' eyes with her sword of fire and cast her into the Outermost Darkness.

Somehow thought Sulansis survived and during the Seventh Age she reapeared, now a Goddess in her own right. Soon afterwards she engineered the destruction of the Solinast, struck down Mithrilanda with the Dragonclaw Spear and conquered Danton with her Army of Darkness.

Sulansis' symbol is The Blinded Eye; a beautiful woman’s eye, blinded and with a single tear (sometimes depicted as blood) falling from it.

Sulansis fights with a pair of scimitars; Demonshard and Dragonfang.

Sulansis has a special bond with the Sulaim and most of their race worships her. She has a great deal of control over their homeland Nelonia and has done much to shape their culture.
