Outermost Darkness

Though spoken of in various ancient texts (most notably The Saralot Thesis) as well as being sometimes alluded to by Gods or other powerful beings, it is not truly known what is meant by the phrase 'the outermost darkness'. Popular theories contend either that this is a primal part of Reshomme that was never crafted by the Gods or that it refers to a Plane or Sphere that holds tremendous power and yet is anathema to beings of all kinds. It is also possible that it refers to The Void, although since essentially nothing is known of either this is less than helpful.

What is known about this mysterious place is that Sulansis was exiled there by Vellamni after she murdered Vellamni's son. Prior to the fall of Danton it was believed that this 'exile' was simply another way of saying that the very soul of Sulansis had been utterly destroyed, but her dramatic return to the world demonstrated that this was not the case. Indeed it seems that Sulansis gained great power through the time she spent there, although also great madness and evil.

Since Sulansis is not known to possess a home in The Heavens it is believed by some that she still dwells in the Outermost Darkness, and that her followers souls may be drawn there when they die.
