A set of islands North-West of Amethgare known for treacherous weather, unpredictable currents and dangerous rocks. As well as being barren and lifeless the islands themselves are widely (and accurately) considered haunted and are avoided like the plague by anyone with any sense.

Prior to the War of Desolation this area was known as Nelonia, a dark and unforgiving land under which the subterranean cities of the Sulaim prospered. Unknown to most of Amethgare, Nelonia still clings to life beneath the Darkwind Isles, though its population is a pitiful fraction of what it once was.

It was on these haunted isles, surrounded by shattered, dark and vengeful spirits that Aesha Lehtranna and the Knights of the Silver Cross first contacted Osterethyarr.
