Draxos

Draxos is the God of Fear, Strategy and Manipulation, although he is sometimes acclaimed patron of Deceit, Pain or Sacrifice. Many consider him to be evil, but in truth he simply seems disinterested in the suffering of others (especially mortals) - finding it to be but one of many tools at his disposal. He is sometimes known as the Great General, recognising his role in the terrible wars that first led the Gods to seek refuge at Reshomme.

Draxos is a master of subtle, long-term planning and it is not uncommon to find him blamed for every great tragedy in Reshomme's long history. The true extent of his involvement with these events will probably never be known, but moderately convincing theories connect him to the fall of the Amma and the death of Menkharra as well as to the destruction of Danton and the rise of Sulansis, as well as to many other such things.

Although he is most often pictured as a bald, bearded man in a black robe, in fact little is known about his true appearance. Stories of Draxos feature him in many forms, sometimes appealing and at other times horrific or monstrous. His symbol is the Burning Skull.

Cults of Draxos vary wildly depending on local perception of his qualities - from sacrificial cults that seek only to turn his gaze away, to strict orders of military elitists or shadowy groups dedicated to political manipulation. His followers adhere to the Code of Draxos.
