Vendoko is amongst the oldest settlements on Kotar, founded by the first [[Saralot|Saralonian]] colonists in the [[Seventh Age]]. As a result Vendoko is extremely proud of its heritage and spares no expense to ensure that the ancient buildings around the harbour are kept pristine and well-repaired. Indeed the Vendoko docks are amongst the best-kept and most ruthlessly policed of [[Amethgare]] – in sharp contrast to the seedy and dangerous ports found throughout much of the continent.
