As all the Mantonian civil service, military, and legislature is composed of members of the various orders of Warrior Adventurers, the rank system is obviously of vital importance.
The ranks within each order are:

A Knight Adventurer of a Noble Order is of lower rank than a Knight Adventurer from a Royal Order; but, all other things being equal, a Knight of the Lion outranks a Knight of the Dragon because the Dragon have lower prestige than the Lion.
In cases of closely-related orders, such as the Moon and the Dragon, the distinction is further blurred.
