Knight Adventurer

Knight Adventurer is a title granted to experienced Mantonian Warrior Adventurers who are judged ready to act as officers. In order for a Warrior to progress to the rank of Knight he must first impress his superiors with his skill and judgement and then complete a unique Knight Quest set for him.

Although most Knights operate as part of the regular chain-of-command, leading or training groups of regular Warriors, it is also not uncommon to see Knight Adventurers sent on assignments considered too difficult for less experienced soldiers. Likewise some elite Mantonian units, such as the Knights of the Golden Flame, are composed entirely of soldiers of Knight rank and above.

In addition to combat experience and leadership skills, most Knight Adventurers have a respectable understanding of magic.
