This simple spell imbues its caster with the ability sense heat very accurately, even through obstructions – superimposing this information over his normal vision. As a result he is better able to detect hidden creatures, follow recent tracks or detect other clues where heat is a significant factor. Awareness checks to spot items or creatures that are hidden receive a +2 bonus while under the effects of the spell and Awareness: Tracking checks to follow tracks receive +1 – so long as the item, creature or tracks in question are noticeably different in temperature to their surroundings.
