This simple defensive spell attempts to wall off a section of the Astral Plane from Psychic Damage and Shock effects – defending anyone inside the area from assaults originating beyond the ward's boundary. Shock caused as a result of injury (whether Psychic or not) is not affected by Astral Barrier, regardless of its point of origin.
