Marran'Yhn

Originally little more than an extensive border-fortress designed to guard the eastern approach into the Treyenar nation of Yhntal, centuries of good relations between Yhntal and the Humans of the Lahrus Plains to the south gradually made Marran'Yhn into a prosperous trading town. Although trade is sadly rare in the modern day, Marran'Yhn remains a sizeable settlement - second only to the city of Artann'Yhn.

Because of its cosmopolitan history Marran'Yhn is much more sympathetic to outsiders than most of Yhntal and has a sizeable non-Treyenar population - a fact that sometimes leads to tension with the rest of the state.
