You have learnt to recognise various medicinal plants and fungi, both in the wild and in their basic refined forms (cut, dried, crushed, etc.) and you are skilled in using these ingredients to aid healing, ease symptoms, provide antidotes (or poisons) and so forth.

Anyone attempting a First Aid check for tasks of this kind suffers a -3 penalty unless they have this ability, as does anyone attempting Survival checks to identify medicinal plants or fungi growing in the wild or Alchemy checks to correctly identify them once they have been harvested. In addition Herb Lore grants a +1 bonus to Survival checks to forage for edible flora or fungi.
