By subtly reworking a spell to focus on certain core mnemonic concepts you are able to cast and maintain it with considerably less concentration, although this works best with spells that are fairly simple in nature. You can cast any spell in such a way that it takes up only half a Spell Slot, but this increases the spell's Difficulty by 4.
