Mithrilanda
"And then she smiled, broad and long. Those who did not know her wondered suddenly: what woman had a smile so broad, and teeth so sharp? But those who had met her before knew that this was not the time for such questions, and rather hurried to what they hoped was a safe distance."
Mithrilanda is by far the most powerful Dragon in Reshomme and is often referred to as the Mother of Dragons. Whether she literally created the other dragons is unknown but certainly they have always deferred to her. Indeed through all of known history only one group of dragons has ever defied her will - that being Yndataraen and his Golden Dragons.
It is unclear when Mithrilanda first came to Reshomme, but some fragmented legends speak of the Mother of Dragons fighting alongside the gods in the Fourth Age.
Such is her power that many consider Mithrilanda to be a Goddess, and she was once known as the Goddess of Magic. During the Sixth Age Mithrilanda was closely allied with Solandria, the Goddess of Light and between them they helped to guide the formation and growth of the Empire of Danton.
At the end of that Age however she was struck down by Sulansis and persisted in a dream-like state, all memory of her existence magically banished, until she was awakened by the Mantonian Sorceress Aesha Lehtranna.
With the Goddess only recently awoken and still weak, the Cult of Mithrilanda is still small. Thanks to the Lady Lehtranna serving as high priestess however it is gaining popularity fast in Mantoni and the New Kingdoms. The cult uses the Moon and Star (a pentagram surrounded by a crescent moon, all in silver) as its symbol. Her worshippers follow the Code of Mithrilanda.
While aiding the Knights of the Silver Cross at the Citadel of the Trenkytis, Mithrilanda became partially bound to the Trenkytis itself. What effect this may have is so far unclear.
Mithrilanda holds many other titles: Dragon Goddess, Lady of Chaos and Dragon Lady among others. She most often manifests as a beautiful woman with silver hair, sharp teeth and cat-like eyes dressed in a silver dress or a purple robe.
