The Vhanti military on the Plane of Alkasha are divided into three principle groups, known as the Three Paths. Each Path guards one of the Planar Gates leading out of the plane. During the War of Waking they also guarded key planes beyond the gates, but since the war's end their numbers and influence have steadily diminished and they now rarely venture beyond Alkasha itself. The First Path guard the gate to the Plane of Jhalanda, the Second Path guard the gate to Plane of Ulshann and the Third Path guard the gate to Nsadhehn.
