This spell forges a mystic bond between a melee weapon or projectile and a target individual, using their blood to form the link. In order to cast the spell, the chosen weapon must be anointed with fresh blood from the target (a single drop will do) – a condition that is often met by simply attacking the individual with the weapon, before enchanting it to finish the job.

Under the effects of the spell the affected weapon becomes life-draining and gains an AM bonus against the target, but suffers an AM penalty against all others. These AM apply to both attacks and defences made with the weapon. A weapon enchanted by Thirsting Blade can only heal its wielder when used against the spell's specific target, and even then only if its wielder possesses blood.

Bonus Damage Versus Target: Power x 6 DE Life-Drain
Life-Drain Healing for Wielder: Equal to Wound Penalty inflicted x target's Phys
AM Versus Target: +2
AM Versus Others: -1
