This skill covers military tactics and strategy on any scale - from the best way to defeat a given enemy one-on-one to the ideal way to place or escape an ambush to planning of full-scale battles and sieges. Any time the character's player seems stumped as to how to proceed, or when the GM sees ways that his plan might be flawed or could be improved further, the GM may suggest a Tactics check and provide an amount of guidance proportional to the result.
