Serra Mountains

North of the Golden Land, between the Stone Flow and the Naraes Chain, the Serra Mountains stand icy and tall, though the many passes and hidden valleys that lie between them are surprisingly temperate and welcoming - thanks to an abundance of hot springs and volcanic vents.

Since the hazy, legendary days of the Fifth Age these lands have belonged to the magic-loving Aestrani, and their mark can be found everywhere here - in countless road-shrines, standing stones, rune-circles and ritual towers. The mountains are also noted for their weather being strange and unpredictable, though relatively gentle, and it is not uncommon for parties travelling on even the most well-marked roads to become lost in a sudden storm or flash fog.

Various Aestrani settlements are scattered throughout the valleys, but by far the largest is the city of Narestia.
