One of the twelve Mantonian Royal Orders, the Viper are regarded with some suspicion by orders such as the Dragon and the Lion. Nevertheless, the Alas-worshipping Viper nevertheless do sterling service for Mantoni, mainly in the areas of assassination, spying and sundry nefarious activities.
Despite (or, possibly, because of) their shared patron deity, the Viper do not get along with the Royal Order of the Scorpion.
The treacherous Noble Order of the Ebony Wing owed allegiance to the Viper, but their brand of betrayal is believed stamped out with the multiple deaths of Amon Valir.
