The King of Mantoni claims direct line of descent from the ancient royal line of Danton, strengthening Mantoni's claim to be the spiritual successor to the Dantonian Empire.
Although the King commands great respect in Mantoni and is head of the Royal Order of the Crown his role is largely ceremonial. He serves as chairman of the Royal Council but does not receive a vote unless the issue is tied.
