The Elemental Guardians were four extremely powerful Dragons who acted as the generals of Mithrilanda's armies during the Third, Fourth and Fifth Ages.

-During the [[Sixth Age]] the wars in the [[Fringes]] and the [[Central Planes]] died down as the [[Dunoln Empire]] began to stabilise much of [[Reshomme]] under its control and Mithrilanda's armies were disbanded. Many of the remaining dragons, including the Guardians, vanished around this time.
