Dreaming Forest

The Dreaming Forest was a dense and largely unmapped jungle that was once part of the Plane of Endaraen. Generally believed to be haunted and certainly extremely dangerous, most travellers went to great pains to avoid it - with the lone exception of the mysterious Azansakk Lizardmen, whose city of Solnaz'sa was reputed to lie somewhere inside.

Since the cultures living near the forest were loath to ever actually explore it, instead it became a rich source of fable and legend and many monsters, artefacts, heroes and villains were said to have originated there. One especially common myth was that the lost Dunoln city of Olnaleas was located in the heart of the jungle and that it was the source of the spirits and monsters that roamed the land.

During the Eighth Age the Dreaming Forest was swallowed up by the Wild Sea - leaving a seething lake of pure Chaos behind.
