Concentrating solely on speed and precision, this technique largely abandons any notion of practicality in favour of humiliating opponents with a flurry of shallow but lightning-fast cuts. Butterfly Blade allows multiple attacks to be made with the same weapon in a single turn, provided that it is a dagger or one-handed sword. As many as four attacks can be made in rapid succession, with a vastly reduced Multiple Attack Penalty – each attack past the first cumulatively penalises all the attacks by -1, rather than the normal -3. Attacks made with this ability must be cuts, and suffer a -2 DC modifier – although they also benefit from +1 AM and +1 Initiative.
