This horrific land is literally a desert of bones, extending as far as the eye can see, gathered here by the Heart of Chaos from all the dead of Varys. Worse still, a handful of the corpses that fill this titanic grave are given strange new life and roam the wastes seeking to end the life of any creature that strays within its borders.
Rain is scarce here, there are no trees or large plants and the sun is merciless - but some life still thrives, scrubby plants that need little water; hardy lizards and insects; and all manor of corpse-scavenging beasts who feed upon the bones themselves.
