Attacks

Attacks are a special sub-type of offensive Technique that often, although not always, inflict damage on their target and can be resisted by their target making a Defence. Unlike Techniques or Spells, which have a fixed Difficulty, Attacks normally succeed automatically unless the attacker Fumbles or the target succeeds in somehow thwarting the attack. The main exception to this are Ranged Attacks, which have a base Difficulty related to the range to their target. For more information on making attacks and defences, see Combat.
