1. What is your full name? If you have any titles, common nicknames or frequently-used alias then please list these also:

Aesha, Dragon of the Burning Sea.

2. What species are you? Please be as specific as possible (i.e. Kamarain Human, rather than just Human):

Dragon, but I used to be human. Kamathar human, and then I sort of absorbed the dragon Jhantalyth and became a dragon. I was just trying to save her.

3. How do you feel about your race? Are there any other races that you particularly admire or despise?

You call this many a race? Um, there aren’t any that I particularly admire or despise, really…

4. Do you have any living family? If so, name them:

No. Um, unless you count Osterethyarr. But I don’t really like to think about that, so, um.

5. When and where were you born?

Second of the Wolf in 394 EA, at 3 Angel Court, Mantoni – the house was a wedding gift to my mother from her father, and my mother refused to move into Order of the Lion lodgings. I used to play in the courtyard when I was little. I, I wasn’t really allowed out, you see, but I used to go out anyway. I, um. I don’t remember my games.

6. Are you mortal or immortal?

Immortal.

7. Do you worship one or more deities regularly? If so, which one(s)?

I worship Mithrilanda, of course –

and. and I give reports to Yaasha, of course, and if I find something that I think he might like, then, well. And, um, the same for Benethyarr, I suppose. But it’s not worship. Not like that.

8. Do you draw power from one or more deities? If so, which one(s) and to what extent?

n/a

9. If you are capable of magic please indicate your approximate power level and rough area(s) or specialization:

Ah, um. Well. I’m quite good, really. But I still have significant weaknesses in some areas, I think, so I’m still learning. Oh, I like pyrokinetics, most, I think. It, it always just felt right, I think, it seemed to flow more easily and it all seemed so much more obvious… and, um, it feels so much more pure than some of the other branches. There’s an honesty about fire, I think.

10. List any factions that you owe significant allegiance to, and indicate your standing within them:

Well, I still keep an eye on the Blades of the Temple (name?), but not too much, because, you know. They might not like it. Um, and some seafaring groups, too. (??) Um, you aren’t counting dragons or anything here are you?

11. Are you in a committed relationship currently? If so, with whom? Describe how you feel about them:

No. :(

12. Who would you consider to be your closest friend or confidant, and why?

Mithrilanda. I mean, I do talk to Benethyarr and Bade, about a lot of things – but with Mithrilanda I don’t have to think about what I’m telling who, and how to put it, and, well, there are some things that I wouldn’t want to tell Benethyarr, especially. Oh… that sounds bad. I didn’t mean it like that. Um. But if you don’t know what someone’s thinking, then. It’s, um. It’s difficult sometimes. And, um. And he probably knows anyway. But that, that doesn’t mean I want to tell him. And sometimes I’m not sure what Bade is thinking, either. I, I… can we talk about something else now?

13. Who are your most frequent companions, and how do you feel about them?

Bade, of course… I always wanted an older brother, and it’s not quite like that, but… It’s like your best friend when you become an acolyte! Maybe. It’s sort of competitive, sort of someone to get drunk with. And I trust him, well, with important things anyway.

And, um, Benethyarr. He, um. He reminds me of, no, he’s like my squad captain when I was first assigned, after I achieved ranking. I, I liked him. A lot. Um. He’d died when I woke up. Um, anyway, Benethyarr… most of the time, he’s, I don’t know, isolated maybe? But sometimes you can get a reaction… I made him laugh once, he said. And he’s very powerful, it’s like, like being in an area of high power – well, you are! – but like walking from deep shade into bright sunlight whenever you’re near him, and when he notices you like that, really notices you, then just for a second, it’s blinding.

14. Who or what do you consider to be your greatest enemy? Why?

My greatest enemy? I’m not sure I really have one… maybe Sulansis? But I’m not, you know, actively working towards her crushing defeat, or anything, so I don’t think she counts either, really.

15. What is your most important long-term goal, ambition or dream?

Isn’t everyone’s dream to surpass their mentor? ;) I want to serve Mithrilanda to the best of my ability… I want to see her and Bade and Benethyarr happy, I suppose. I want to learn more magic, of course. But that’s obvious, it’s not really a long-term goal exactly, is it? I’d like for there to be more dragons, and, and, more stories? I’d like to explore more of the world. I’d like to see Alas fall. I’m not sure that that would be a good thing, though…

16. What circumstance is most likely to drive you to violence?

Probably Mithrilanda, Bade or Benethyarr being hurt somehow. Oh, or if someone or something threatened to hurt them too, actually.

17. What are your preferred battle tactics?

It depends on how much collateral damage is justifiable. ;)

18. Do you own any objects that hold special significance for you? If so, please list them and say why they matter:

Oh… I have Mithrilanda’s sword, of course, and the medallion she gave me. I still have Benethyarr’s coin thing too, actually, but I don’t wear it as a necklace or anything. And I don’t know if he knows I still have it, so I don’t mention it. And I have the bracelet that Duncan gave me.

19. Please describe your most common styles of dress for travel, combat and socializing:

Well, the combat thing depends on the combat, doesn’t it? But if I’m in human-ish form, then for travel and combat, probably trousers, which are like the ones I had in the Order of the Moon, but black, and a sort of corset-camisole top thing – it’s got very light, flexible boning in it, and lacing. I used to have a dress like it, actually, well, the top… Duncan used to like it, it… it’s a dark green-blue colour. I like the colours of the sea, at dusk and at night, by moonlight. For socialising, well, it depends… when I’m on my own I try and go for whatever’s fashionable and appropriate for the event and the culture, but if I’m going with Bade, say, I often let him, or whoever it is, choose something. Although I usually have to make some changes…
