This slow, powerful ritual is principally useful for resurrecting those who suffered grievous wounds before their death, but is also a safer and easier spell to cast than Spark of Life. When the ritual begins the target is surrounded by a Stasis-like effect – guarding their body from further degeneration for the duration of the rite, then life energy is slowed poured into the corpse – gradually restoring it before drawing the spirit back inside. Half the target's Wound Penalty (before healing) is added to the difficulty of the spell.
