The Ko’khasti are one of the native peoples of Alkasha and dwell in the mountains near the three gates. Rather than being composed of any single race, the Ko’khasti are instead a mixture of Jhantain Humans and Dessakk Lizardmen, with every clan having families of both species – although of course the two races are incapable of actually interbreeding.
The Ko’khasti are skilled miners and smiths and are able to make machines considerably in advance of anything the Vhanti are capable of - including various forms of Lyvaer-fuelled weapon. Although they are generally friendly with the Vhanti, they keep these secrets carefully to themselves – partially in order to maintain the balance of power.
