1. What is your full name? If you have any titles, common nicknames or frequently-used alias then please list these also:

Bade. It’s short but sweet. I had some other names, but I lost them.

2. What species are you? Please be as specific as possible (i.e. Kamarain Human, rather than just Human):

Dragon. I tried drake for a while, and the perks were good, but I outgrew it in the end. Demon was also interesting, but let me tell you – the Netherworld is vastly overrated. Before that came my Kamarain stage, before the novelty of taking life seriously had completely worn out. As far as I remember that’s your lot.

3. How do you feel about your race? Are there any other races that you particularly admire or despise?

Most Dragons seem to be racially incapable of seeing the world as anything other than an elaborate joke designed mostly for their own entertainment, so I feel like I’m well suited. Mind you, my sample size is small so I might be leaping to conclusions.

Drakes are also fun, in the way that most overdeveloped animals are. Those that haven’t developed language anyway. I’ve always found it ironic that while language hands you the tools to finally have a really good time, it also tends to prevent you actually doing so. Especially if you’re Kamarain.

4. Do you have any living family? If so, name them:

Lady of Chaos, I hope not!

5. When and where were you born?

The 7th Day of Indulgence, or Month of the Dolphin in the Mantonian reckoning, in the city of Sendalus in the Lorani Republic.

6. Are you mortal or immortal?

Immortal. Which beats just being dead, let me tell you.

7. Do you worship one or more deities regularly? If so, which one(s)?

Nah.

8. Do you draw power from one or more deities? If so, which one(s) and to what extent?

That’s a bit harder to measure, because I don’t pretend to understand how Lady M factors into all of this. But if I am, I’m not trying for it.

9. If you are capable of magic please indicate your approximate power level and rough area(s) or specialisation:

I’m pretty much shit hot. I had a whole lifetime of learning from the colleges of Sendalus, then a whole lot longer as a demon really honing my spirit magic, mentalics and manifestation and then bam! Suddenly I’m a Dragon too, and Dragons pretty much are magic. So really my main problem is just keeping track of it all: I swear I’ve forgotten more about magic than most living mages will ever know. Erm… I guess I specialise in manifestation, metamorphosis, mentalics and spirit magic. Can I have four specialisations?

10. List any factions that you owe significant allegiance to, and indicate your standing within them:

Erm… can I say Aesha? I’m like her Chief Bodyguard or Grand Vizier or something.

11. Are you in a committed relationship currently? If so, with whom? Describe how you feel about them:

Only with myself. And I think I’ve already expressed my feelings on that front.

12. Who would you consider to be your closest friend or confidant, and why?

Mithrilanda. Nah, just kidding. It’s Aesha really. It’s a bit hard to explain, but I guess I feel like I sort of finished my own life a long time ago, so now I’m more interested in following other people about and seeing what hijinks they can get up to if they have a dragon-archmage getting their back. And really, Aesha’s just so adorably earnest – she cares about things enough for both of us.

13. Who are your most frequent companions, and how do you feel about them?

There’s that Aesha chick. See above. She’s this kick-arse sorceress that goes around blowing things into flaming shards and she’s got barely any nudity taboo. What’s not to like?

Benethyarr. He doesn’t like me much, but I think that’s because we’re more alike than he likes to admit. He keeps me entertained purely because any time you try and define the way he sees the world, he kinds of slips out sideways and you realise that he’s sorta the opposite of what you thought at the same time. Genius.

14. Who or what do you consider to be your greatest enemy? Why?

Boredom. I’m immortal after all.

I feel kinda bad though, cos I’m sure there are some demon lords who are going to feel sort of cheated by my answer. But honestly they’re just not trying hard enough to make the A-list. Or maybe they’re trying too hard. Whatever. Demons just aren’t cool any more.

15. What is your most important long-term goal, ambition or dream?

To discover an important long-term goal, ambition or dream. Eat that causality.

16. What circumstance is most likely to drive you to violence?

Statistically speaking it’s likely to be something gribbly jumping Aesha. It’ll probably be made of bones, or animated nail-clippings or something.

17. What are your preferred battle tactics?

Surprising my enemies by suddenly slicing them into little bits with my fuck-those-are-a-lot-bigger-than-I-thought-they-were claws. Hehe.

18. Do you own any objects that hold special significance for you? If so, please list them and say why they matter:

Mental images of Aesha naked. And for some reason a piece of ribbon.

19. Please describe your most common styles of dress for travel, combat and socialising:

Scales. They suit every occasion. Oh alright, and sometimes a suit. Something cool. With a cane.
