This mile-high citadel stands at the exact centre of Treneth and houses the Trenkytis - an object of unrivalled power. Although long abandoned, the citadel appears to have been built by a race of giants - possibly the Torathra - who once dwelt here along with the Sulaim and Eldren.
The citadel was defended by a number of gigantic, animated statues that possessed incredible magical power - including the ability to animate the dead as warrior slaves. These defences, as well as the Trenkytis itself to some degree, were eventually subdued by the Goddess Mithrilanda who bonded herself to the Trenkytis.
After the citadel's defences were deactivated, Benethyarr led the reborn Sisterhood of the Crimson Shard back to dwell there once more. In return for certain diplomatic concessions the sisterhood have also agreed to allow a small Mantonian colony to settle there.
