"Her curse, and her blessing also, was her great union of passion and vision. For whilst her passion lent her strength in war, so too her vision revealed this new folly in all too great a detail."

The Goddess of Passion, Love and Sex.

Vellamni is Alas’s younger sister. She hates and fears Sulansis who killed her only son and has never forgiven her sister for the rage that killed the Amma. Vellamni raised Solandria to godhood and sees her as her daughter.

It was Vellamni who blinded Sulansis and cast her into the Outermost Darkness.

Although Vellamni is often consulted on matters of the heart, she is also a proud warrior who bears a great sword of fire and is revered by various warrior sects for her passion.

She appears as a beautiful, voluptuous woman with hair of flame. Common symbols of Vellamni are The Heart and Moon (for single followers), The Intertwined Hearts (for couples) and The Burning Heart (for warrior cults). Her followers obey the Code of Vellamni.

Vellamni is served by the Angel Leileranna, who styles herself the Angel of Pleasure.
