A gigantic temple to Taramis in the city of Tethgate on Torathai. Although it is not clear who built the temple or when, it seems to be even older than the rest of the city - dating perhaps to the Fifth Age or before. Wave's Rest forms part of The Raven's Road.

As with various other surviving buildings of this era, Wave's Rest is built on a very large scale - with extremely high ceilings and massive doorways, as though its builders were physically very large, lending credence to the theory that it may have been built by the Torathra before they withdrew from the world.

Although the Byentin inhabitants of Tethgate follow no gods (adhering instead to the judgement of the last of the Torathra), Wave’s Rest is revered as a sacred place and also serves as the city’s only docks. Travellers who are drawn to this temple are welcomed by the Byentin, although few are allowed to progress past Tethgate and into the heartlands of Torathai.
