Known as the Dragon of the Sun, Yndataraen was a hugely powerful Dragon and, unusually for one of his breed, a follower of Schiraman.
During the Fourth Age he settled on YllnDeraSah in the Central Planes and together with the native Hanaen he build the gigantic city of DanTarAen. There he bred his own race of Golden Dragons to serve him, eventually using this mighty army to conquer much of the Plane in the name of Law.
When Jurakell tracked the chaos-demon Taikala to DanTarAen in the Fifth Age his investigations accidentally uncovered the true scope of Yndataraen's ambitions and revealed that he had been corrupted by the will of Draxos.
Both Schiraman and Mithrilanda sent armies against Yndataraen, one led by Jurakell and the other by Astenoreth, and against such might the Dragon's Empire of the Sun soon fell.
Yndataraen himself was slain by Jurakell in single combat, although the fact that the powerful Angel was forced to make use of Schiraman's Golden Sword gives an idea of how strong the great dragon had truly become.
