<p></p> <p><b>New page</b></p><div>Techniques are a form of active [[Ability]] that require an action to use and typically involve making a [[Skill Check]] to determine their effectiveness. If the Technique has a specific Difficulty then the associated Skill Check must equal or exceed that level in order for the character to perform the action successfully. <br /> <br /> Some Techniques may require an [[Opposed Skill Check]] in order to effect their target(s), in which case characters resisting the Technique can typically avoid its effects completely if the check they make to resist it equals or exceeds the check made to perform it.
