An enhanced version of Star Dome, Sun Dome goes even further than its predecessor, filling the area with beautiful golden light and completely eliminating darkness within its bounds. The entire area within the dome is lit by the spell, with Illumination varying from 1 to 5 throughout. Areas that would normally receive no light at all, such as sealed containers, receive Illumination 1, shaded or partially lit areas receive Illumination 2-3, areas with good lighting receive Illumination 4 and the brightest areas, those in direct sunlight, receive Illumination 5. So carefully is light controlled within a Sun Dome that only a spell whose casting total or invested Power exceeds that of the dome can significantly effect lighting conditions – whether adding or subtracting Illumination – and natural sources such as fires are visible but have no real effect.<br />
