Shadow Step allows its caster to instantly teleport a short distance in a given direction, but will only function if both the start and end point of the jump are sufficiently dark (at least 3 points of [[Darkness Penalty]]), and only if the destination has sufficient room to accommodate the caster. The spell does not reveal any information about its destination until the spell is cast, at which point it simply fails if the destination is not suitable.<br />
