Lucia is the [[God]]dess of Luck and Gambling. A fickle but generally benevolent being, Lucia is popular and widely-worshipped.

Having no particular interest in right and wrong, good and evil and other such epic rivalries, Lucia tends to remain neutral in all such contests - preferring to concentrate on the petty victories and defeats of individual lives rather than the epic sweeps of history. Games, risk-taking and general fun have a peculiar fascination for her and she tends to favour those who are flamboyantly careless.

It is considered bad luck to refer to Lucia by name and she is generally referred to simply as The Lady. Her symbol is the Black Cat and cats of all shapes and sizes are both sacred to her and considered lucky in general. Lucia is generally depicted as either a laughing, blond-haired girl or as a cat of some type. She is believed to have a penchant for manifesting on the [[Core Plane]] in feline form, rewarding those who are kind to her and cursing those who are not.

Though worship of Lucia is prevalent in some form in most countries on [[Teth]], it is probably most widespread in [[Daralt]]. Her church there, [[The Grand High Cult of the Great Goddess Lucia]], is unusually large and influential and has considerable political pull, contributing noticeably to the unstable state of the nation. Her followers adhere to the notably contradictory [[Code of Lucia]].

Lucia is strongly associated with the [[Angel]]s [[Markeitus]] and [[Oasis]] - both of whom she granted immortality to because they pleased her while living their ordinary, human lives.
