An absolute boon to sailors, Favourable Winds allows a mage skilled in [[Aerokinetics]] to control the wind nearby, summoning a wind from nowhere or affecting the strength and direction of existing air currents. The strength of wind that can be summoned, or the degree to which existing winds can be strengthened or diminished depends on the magical [[Power]] invested in the spell. <br />

Newly summoned winds may blow in any direction desired, existing winds that are affected by the spell may be redirected in direct proportion to the change caused in their intensity; that is a wind of strength 6 that is enhanced or dampened by 3 levels may also be caused to change direction by up to 90°, while if it was enhanced by 6 levels it could be caused to blow in any direction desired.<br />
