By presenting yourself side-on to your opponents you offer them a reduced target, although at the cost of reducing the effectiveness of any weapon held in your offhand. While in this stance any opponents immediately in front of you suffer a -1 penalty to hit you in melee (and suffer triple the normal penalty when [[Aiming For Location|aiming]] to attack your offhand arm or leg), but you suffer a -2 penalty to any attacks or defences made with a two-handed weapon or a weapon held in your offhand (in addition to the normal [[Offhand Penalty]]).
