Crafting Techniques are a special sub-type of non-combat [[Technique]] used to produce or modify consumables, equipment, structures or other objects. Techniques of this kind typically take some time to perform (anything from hours to months) and have widely ranging difficulties depending on exactly what is being produced and to what level of quality.

Large projects, such as shipbuilding or raising structures, are typically carried out by many people - though with one crafter leading the effort. In this case the lead crafter makes the principle skill check to determine the outcome, but this check is modified by the general competence and degree of crafting skill of those following his designs.
