Ability Type: Spell, Difficulty 19
Provided By: Advanced Aquakinetics

Spell Type: Elemental, Water
Form: Inclusive Vocal
Function: Defensive, Utility, Offensive
Power Cost: 2 to 4, Overcharge
Duration: Conditionally Maintainable (caster must continue to sing the spell)

By weaving his affinity with the Elemental Plane of Water into a haunting, arcane melody this spell's caster is able to grant everyone who hears it a measure of cold resistance – or, by allowing the song to take on a more vindictive character, inflict additional Cold Damage on those who are already suffering. When used offensively, Winter Song inflicts the listed damage on anyone who currently has a Cold Penalty, while in its beneficial mode it provides a Physique bonus against the effects of cold (including Cold-type damage).

Winter Song's caster may change its mode at the start of his own turn, and cannot change it more than once per turn. When the spell is first cast, it can begin in either mode - although its mode cannot be changed that turn.

Freezing Damage (offensive mode only): Power x 8 Internal Cold (only affects those already suffering from a Cold Penalty)
Physique Bonus vs Cold (including Cold Damage, defensive mode only): +50%
