Function: Offensive
Power Cost: 4 to 8, Overcharge
Duration: Fleeting

This supremely powerful form of aquatic battle-magic sends a massive shockwave through the surrounding water – inflicting heavy damage on anything caught by the wave. When cast underwater the wave extends in all directions – and if the caster is close enough to the surface it will reach some distance above the normal water-level, potentially allowing it to catch low-flying foes. The spell's Maximum Wave Height lists how far above water the wave will reach if the caster is at (or on) the surface when casting the spell – with this height diminished by an amount equal to his depth if he is below the surface.

If the wave extends above the surface, and its radius reaches beyond the edge of the body of water, then it will continue on into the surroundings – though the wave has only half the normal height and damage when out of the water. As should be obvious, Tsunami Sphere can only be cast by a mage who is in direct contact with a sufficiently deep body of water – listed as Required Depth of Water.

Optionally, Tsunami Sphere can be cast with a 'safe area' at its centre – in which case the wave starts outside that zone and has no effect on anything inside it.

Wave Damage: Power x 25 Knockback 5
Affected Volume (in water): Sphere with radius of 5m x Power
Maximum Wave Height (above water): 1.5m x Power (caster's depth is subtracted from this)
Required Depth of Water: 1.5m x Power (body of water must be at least this deep)
Safe Area (optional): Sphere with radius of 1m x Power
