This flashy spell allows its caster to leap with incredible speed through the air, accompanied by a deafening sonic boom at the mid-point of the jump and a pressure wave on arrival that may flatten those nearby. Thunder Leap can be used reactively, allowing its caster to evade almost any assault – assuming that his casting total exceeds the attack check. The spell's caster is immune to the sonic boom that it causes, but high-power Thunder Leaps have a distressing tendency to deafen anyone else who is too close to their route.

Although users of Thunder Leap appear to jump almost instantaneously from one point to another, in fact the spell is a form of extremely rapid, non-maintainable flight rather than true Teleportation. If the caster mis-directs his Thunder Leap and strikes an obstacle in mid-flight he suffers damage equal to the spell's intended Jump Range, with any protection from his Armour halved.
