The Dreaming Sword

An artefact-weapon of incredible power whose nature is tied closely to Dragons and Chaos. Although it can take on any form at whim, it most often assumes the shape of a scimitar or that of another sword-type with a curved blade. Although its colour also varies wildly, it is most often represented as being bright silver.

The Dreaming Sword was originally owned by Mithrilanda, though when she was 'killed' by Sulansis the blade was stolen - and became known as Dragonfang. Later the Knights of the Silver Cross and the Daughters of the Poison Fang performed a ritual to try and waken the blade to its original nature and this, combined with Mithrilanda physically disarming Sulansis during the battle at Seck'Lor served to return the blade to it's proper form and owner.

Although the full extent of its power is not really known, The Dreaming Sword is reputed to have the ability to change anything it strikes. Some stories suggest that this might include changing one object into another, or altering the race or sex of someone struck - while more reserved sages suggest that simply changing someone from being alive to being dead is more likely.

The sword held by Aesha Lehtranna is believed to be some form of lesser reflection of The Dreaming Sword.
