Summoning forth a fragile shard of pure elemental light, Star Shard is a very effective source of illumination and even has some combat application due to the fact that, if smashed, the shard releases a very bright flash that will dazzle those nearby. Although it cannot move under its own power, Star Shard will float in place when dropped and can thus be positioned wherever is convenient to serve as a static light, or can be hand-held in order to be used as a torch.
