You have learnt to make the most of your mount's momentum when making melee attacks from the saddle. By striking while cantering you may add some or all of your mount's Movement stat to your effective Strength for purposes of calculating damage. This bonus may not exceed your own Strength however, as attacking while riding too fast risks having your weapon torn from your grasp or damaging your arm. Attacks of this kind have a -2 AM, but are harder than normal to Parry (-1 AM) because of their speed and power.
