Fringe plane: big junction plane that connects many planes together it's all water, and flat and is a maze-like shape, with water overflowing into the void at every edge to clarify: there is ground under the water, so it's not all water and there is also: sky

was once the greatest Vhanti stronghold of all, but it was well and truly smashed so now what's left is fragments of that golden age, inhabited by drifters and pirates, mainly preying on the traders who try to travel through to the surrounding planes the idea is that you have to sail off down one of the many arms to reach each gate, if that makes sense while the various larger 'seas' are where most people live the water is shallowest at the edges and in some places islands stand just above the water there so most settlements are right on the edge, overlooking the void and surrounded by great waterfalls oh, and there's not much rain - most of the water rises up from the seabed oh, and there are probably rotting hulks of great floating cities, partially destroyed in the war some of the pirates and people probably live there too well water is constantly flowing over the edges of the world, though the edges are higher than the middle, so it's not all the water flowing away all at once so water has to come from somewhere to replace that and it mostly rises up from the ground under the seabed rather than falling from the sky as rain, which is perhaps the obvious option

basically there is still rainfall from the normal cycle of evaporation, etc. - but it's not a net profit of water the water to balance that lost comes from underground
