The intangible barrier created by Mirror Field is perfectly reflective when viewed from one side, but transparent from the other – making it an excellent defence against light and laser effects and allowing it to conceal those it defends from sight, whilst still allowing them to see their attackers. In addition to its battlefield uses Mirror Field is also of considerable value to vainer spellcasters, as well as for providing prisoners the illusion of solitude while they are secretly being observed.

Light Damage effects that strike a Mirror Field are reflected back unless their damage exceeds the spell's Max Light Damage Reflected, in which case they are unaffected and punch straight through. Physical objects and other types of energy are unaffected by the field. Mirror Fields are normally square or rectangular, but can be of any simple shape their caster wishes – so long as they remain completely flat and are within the dimensions described.
