Mentalic Scan reaches out onto the Astral Plane and detects Mentalics spells and minds nearby, providing its caster with their distance and direction. In addition the spell gives its caster an approximate idea (1-5, 5-10, 10-15, etc.) of the Intelligence of any mind it detects and can identify any Mentalics type spell that it encounters – giving its caster the name of the Spell Group it belongs to, or the spell's name if it is one he is able to cast.
