This spell conjures forth a small charm that has the ability to hold wounds closed, numb pain and accelerate healing. The charm only operates so long as it remains in physical contact with the spell's target, and will only work for that particular individual. If the charm ever looses contact with its target it vanishes at once and the spell ends.

When first applied Mending Charm will Stabilise its target, and if subsequent damage is suffered it will attempt to automatically re-Stabilise them on its caster's next turn. All stabilisation attempts are dependant on the spell's Casting Total – which must equal or exceed the spell's base Difficulty plus the level of Wound Penalty currently suffered by its target. If the charm ever fails in stabilising its target then it vanishes and the spell immediately ends. The spell also ends if its target is no longer injured.

In addition to the normal effects of stabilisation, Mending Charm numbs pain and strengthens the Essence of its target, allowing them to ignore the effects of their injury so long as it remains in effect – however the spell's numbing effect will itself reduce their effectiveness somewhat, in essence replacing their current Wound Penalty with a fixed -2 modifier.

Finally Mending Charm is capable of actively healing its target's injuries, reducing their Wound Penalty by one point every half-hour and rapidly healing Shock (in addition to the target's natural Shock Recovery).
